Cuisinart really outdid itself with the Cuisinart Coffee on Demand™ 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker

By our senior writer: Lia Schmitt

I've been waiting to write this article for a long time. But today I actually get to review the Cuisinart Coffee on Demand™ 12-Cup! I, Lia Schmitt, write about appliances for a living as a writer, blogger and reviewer and you have probably read my pieces about the Honeywell HPA300 True HEPA Air Purifier, 465 sq ft Room Capacity, Black by Honeywell and the Safety Walmart Gift Card by Secure. I also did an editorial piece on the Siemens 540-652B Series 2000 (Interactive) Room Temperature Sensor, TEC, White. Needless to say, I have quite some experience testing appliances and I only want the best to my readers of course. So I was really thrilled when I got this product to write about today!

Introduction

I've been a fan of Cuisinart products1 for years and I was really looking forward to finally trying the Cuisinart Coffee on Demand™ 12-Cup and reviewing it for you guys. I found the best deal on this site on Walmart (You can buy the Cuisinart Coffee on Demand™ 12-Cup here.) and I didn't hesitate a moment. So I reached for my creditcard and bought one straight away. I was glad it had free shipping and 24 hours delivery when I ordered it because I couldn't wait! When my Cuisinart Coffee on Demand™ 12-Cup arrived the next day I ripped open the packaging and was really happy with what I saw. As I said before I'm a huge Cuisinart enthusiast but I can be very critical and objective too, especially when writing for my readers. :-) After testing it for about a week now I am confident that I have the authority to write this piece. So read on and I will tell you all about my findings and if you should buy this thing.

Best Cuisinart Coffee on Demand™ 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker deal

Summary

I mostly begin with a summary when reviewing appliances, then I write a list of the positive and negative points of the product after which I'll explain my rating and have a conclusion and of course the resources I used writing this article. So as made clear in the previous paragraphs, I am quite fond of the Cuisinart Coffee on Demand™ 12-Cup. Cuisinart really went all out with this one. The quality is unmatched, and to be honest; it just looks amazing. I know looks aren't the most important aspect of appliances, but it does need to be talked about. And I'm sure it will when more people start to look at this masterpiece. The price alone that Walmart offers was and is by far the lowest, and should be enough reason to grab your wallet so make sure to check them out. I did test a lot of similar products before, I must admit none come even close to the Cuisinart Coffee on Demand™ 12-Cup. Just the functinality alone leaves all competition in the cold and the quality also proves to be up there. The customer service of Cuisinart2 is known to always be very happy to assist if you have any question so if you ever need them they'll be really tolerant and helpful in looking for a solution. So just a quick recap; only good things to say about the Cuisinart Coffee on Demand™ 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker. Do finish this article tho because you there is sort of a surprise in the end!

Pros

The list of pros of this Cuisinart Coffee on Demand™ 12-Cup is going to be much longer than the conslist and the description3 this site gives already lists them quite well. To quote just an excerpt: "

Love it!

When our last coffee maker gave up the ghost, we drove to the nearest Walmart to purchase another coffee maker. We brought home a programmable Mr. C - used it once - and took it back. It had an automatic 2-hour shutoff - which was fine - but it didn't allow you to turn it back on to keep the coffee warm longer. Since we're retired and coffee drinkers - not guzzlers - we weren't OK with that! Our local Walmart didn't have a programmable coffee maker in stock that would stay on longer than 2 hours. The Internet search was on! After a lot of research, we decided on this 14-cup Cuisinart and hoped for the best. It was packaged very well and arrived 2 days earlier than estimated, so that was a plus. It's gorgeous, so she got extra points there. It was easy to program - more extra points. The true test would be the next morning. Sure enough! Piping hot delicious coffee - ready on time - programmed to stay on for the max of 4 hours! We have a winner! It comes with 4 cone coffee filters, which we prefer. It also comes with a coffee scoop and a carbon filter. We don't use the carbon filter, as our well water is excellent, but it works just fine without it. If 4 hours isn't enough for you, the coffee maker can be turned back on to keep the coffee warm a little longer, but we will rarely need to do that. We've left the carafe temp set on medium, and the coffee is still plenty hot. If you want your coffee scalding, you can turn the carafe temp to high instead. The display is backlit with a lovely blue light, so you can see it if your coffee maker is in a dark corner of your kitchen. So far, there's nothing we don't love about this coffee maker. We're hoping for a long and beautiful relationship.

Still going strong after 2 years!

Have had this cuisinart dcc3200 coffee maker for over 2 years now and still love it the day we got it! What sold me on this is that you can turn the 5 loud beeps OFF! Yes, it has a tone button to turn off the tone signal after brewing. I wanted to have a cuisinart maker because they look so classy and elegant and glad this particular model has a tone button. Love the cone shaped filter and the shower head so water saturates all the ground coffee. I would say we are light coffee drinkers and this has just enough features to fit our needs. 1-4 button is perfect for making a small pot, but it also accommodates up to 14 cups if family or company is over. Love the Bold button too if you want a more stronger brew and the Temp button to control the warming plate so you can have hotter coffee if you like creams or milk in your coffee. We've never had a burnt taste and you can set for auto off between 1-4 hours (we have ours set auto off for 2 hours). I program mine every night so it's ready before we wake up in the AM. I don't really have anything negative to say.... except wish they would redesign the lip of the carafe . Water tends to gather there unless you completely hold it upside down. Don't have any issues spilling or dripping. And the brew n' pause works great. We use filtered water only along with the charcoal water filter. Highly recommended this machine!

Wonderful coffee maker

My older trusty Cuisinart coffee maker needed replacement so after a lot of online research, decided on this model. It has a lot of nice features and looks attractive on my counter, but most importantly it makes great coffee. One complaint I saw a lot was difficulty emptying the water completely when using the carafe to fill the reservoir...hasn't been a problem at all. The beep is pretty loud but you can turn it off. The filter holder is the same size as my older one, and although the new carafe is 14 cup, it's the same height as the old one. I did a little experiment and sure enough the old carafe will work...just in case the new one breaks. I ran water through and you just need to make sure the carafe lid and filter bottom spring are aligned so coffee will exit the filter to the pot. This was my first time using the new Walmart free 2 day shipping and it worked as well as Amazon...and the price was the same. I liked that I could return it to the store if there was a problem so I'll be using that again I'm sure!

Love it

We have used Cuisinart for many years and will always stick to using them over any other brand. The 14 cup coffee pot we just bought is absolutely wonderful. The coffee tastes great and the temperature is perfect. Would definitely recommend it.
